Crank position sensor maybe? Bingo!!!! We think. The wire for the sensor is being pinched by the bell housing. Looks like his mechanic is going to fix the problem they caused.

UPDATE JEEP JUST STARTED!!!!!!!! but batt meter in dash still reading 8-9 v...multimeter on the batt reads 11.60 ground to alt reads 45-50v goes down to about 30v @1500rpm.... Any ideas about that?? Im still going to have the mechanic fix his fuck up tomorrow... (it wasnt him who worked on it was one of his workers...fucked up..missing a bolt in the bell housing, pinched a wire, left my exhaust clip rubbing my front drive shaft.....) He owes me a nice once over check it out FAWKER

battery should read around 14 volts if its charging. test it again after that pinched wire is fixed, if its still 12 volts or under you got problems still.
