Hey guys, for the last few weeks my yj makes a ticking noise that speeds up and slows down with the car only when i let off the gas and am decelerating. I just completely rebuilt the rear end, axle seals, brakes, bearings, carrier, and spyder gears. I'm trying to figure out what the problem could be and why it all of a sudden started. It's hard to tell what end of the vehicle the noise is coming from. Anyone else ever had this problem?

well first things first, do a quick check of what steve just mentioned
is the noise dependent on transmission gear? i.e. speed of tick varies in tempo based on what gear youre in. Or is the noise in conjunction with driveshaft spin, i.e. whatever your gear ratio is, like 3.07s would be 3 revolutions per wheel turn, meaning 3 clicks per wheel turn. Or is it based on engine revs (RPM). Those are some good checks to narrow down what part of your jeep its coming from. I just had a ratchet-esque click to mine last week that would only happen when power was applied and it was going 4.5 times per wheel spin, meaning my driveshaft. i replaced all the ujoints in it, and go flight it was pristine.
hope this helps you narrow it down
