id say a 31-32 Max heres a WJ with 32s on a BB, but it has upcountry springs, which are normally 1" higher than stock to begin with For a 16" rim look for tires in 265/70/16. That will measure i believe just a little larger than a 31. Also we could use a few WJs around here

unfortunately i dont think he will be taking it off roading. it took some persuading to get him to consider the lift in the first place but when i told him it was only 90 bucks he was like "eh ok" he was talking about getting new tires and i told him bfg ATs would be perfect. ill have him check out the site to see if it gets him interested
the kit that i found for $90 comes with 4 spacers and thats it. i figured it was worth it to give his truck a little more attitude. will he need wheel spacers with the 265s. also, with anthing else need to be done, it will probably have to be realigned but what about the trac bar.
i dont know much about these grand cherokees

LT265/70R16/D ---- 30.7" tall ---- 10.6" wide LT265/75R16/D ---- 31.7" tall ---- 10.6" wide LT265/75R16/E ---- 31.8" tall ---- 10.5" wide LT275/70R16/D ---- 31.2" tall ---- 11.1" wide
this is what the bfg site said for tires sizes i dont understand p-metrics so maybe someone can help me
will, you said that the 265/70R would be good and just over 31" is that site wrong
me confused

i was probably wrong, metric tires are tricky. go with whatever that says. he can probably get away without spacers (wheel)
i suppose go with whatever closest to 31", perhaps the LT275/70R16/D

yeah thats what i was thinking, but the only problem is that they are pretty wide (11.1) for a 31" tire
thanks for the input, we'll figure this out

oh you want to know metric tire sizes... i hate metric tire sizes cause they dont make a damn bit of sense... but here's the math and try to keep up shouldn't be too hard cause when it comes to math i'm as dumb as rocks. start with the first number we'll say 225/75r15... so 225 divided by 25 (cause there's roughly 25 millimeters in an inch). that gets you roughly the tread width in inches then multiply that number by .75 (cause that's the next number and its a percentage thus the point 75). now double that number cause it the distance from the edge of the rim to the tread (the side wall in one little area and there's two sections of sidewall between the top of the tire and the road... you know road tire rim tire... so that's why times 2) then add the size of the rim say 15 in this case... and you get a crappy ass 28.5x9r15 tire... good times. and if you already knew that... I'll shut up now.

smiths 4x4 in N. Franklin has a rolled G.C there with like a 2 or 3inch brand new skyjacker lift, i bet if you offer like 150 or 200 they will sell it to you.
it was on the jeep for less than a week and the owner rolled it doing donuts.

i tried the web sites like you said and they give me the same dimensions as what i get with the calculations that the heg said.
i really hate p-metrics. the tire we are looking for is either too small, or its too wide. why cant we find a 31/10.5/16
