i drive my jeep everyday to and from school and is my only means of transportation so i cant afford to break her. i havnt been wheeling with a group before, i am just getting started. is it necesary that i get some skid plates? or should i be alrgiht for now. if i need plates, which are the most vital parts to protect?

I think it depends on your driving style and the terrain you wheel. Skids are always a great idea, but if you know the limits of your Jeep and what you can and cant go over, they arent completely necessary.

i have them all, its a nice peace of mind IMO
def get a t-case skid, and oil pan skid, those are very vital parts
oh and before anything you should have recovery points
i think steve said it best though, it all depends on your driving style/terrain. ive marred up my underbelly skids a good deal, but my gas skid i have only really hit once in a year, though that one hit was Very hard haha

I would get recovery points before anything else, then a Tcase skid if your going to beat on it.
