Ive heard alot of bad things about auto lockers - as in, them not locking if the wheel is turned, teeth wearing down, etc.
If it were my dd id front the money for a selectable locker and do it right, but its not so I wont. Should I bother with an auto locker or should I just weld the frigging thing and make sure it locks? Just about the only time I bother driving it is to and from the trails.

id say get yourself a auto lunchbox if thats all your using it for. dont weld a dana 30 youll break it religiously and unless your gonna run some sort of hydro steering it wont turn very well either or you can buy my dana 30 equipt with 4.88s and an arb air locker...

My '89 has a disco dana 30. I already have a posi-lok cable in it so I am going to weld the spider gears. It's cheap, quick and if it breaks, who gives a f**k? The Jeep is ready for the hook anyway. ;D

I only put the posi-lock cable in there because the vaccum garbage sh*t the bed. I have a Lock-Rite in the front of my white one, the same thing as an Aussie Locker. No complaints at all.

I was going to ask what you have, when you were going up that face at lame that shit was locked up tight, didnt see either wheel not move with the other one once, even when you turned the wheel.
