umm jeff trutrac is a planitary gear driven lsd if i am correct, nothing to wear out in side. unless of course you break a gear. but really steve why not spool it if its gonna be a off road only truck. you have lock outs right?new 44 spools can be had for 150-200

dan is in fact correct, cmon jeff you own the damn thing The Detroit Truetrac was the first gear type limited slip differential in the industry. The patented design of parallel axis planetary helical gears provide a quiet, automatic splitting of torque. Power transfer goes literally unnoticed by the driver - even in front wheel drive axles. The Detroit Truetrac performs like an open differential under normal driving conditions and automatically transfers torque to the wheel with better traction when ground conditions warrant. The limited slip responds instantly to torque feedback, anytime, at any speed.
i would definitely throw at the very least a lunchbox locker in front, especially in ur case of it not being the daily driver. 100 bucks more for the luxury of a locker versus a limited slip application jeffs truetrac is pretty hit or miss in most cases in whether it feels like grabbin or not.
