it may be the starter or a solenoid in the starter i suppose. it would not fire up at the gas station today, very very very slow crank like a dead battery, but then absolutely nothing. but the battery isnt dead. alternator? starter? shitty shittyness?
i did the smack the starter with a hammer routine, nothing.
got AAA'd home

Do the interior/exterior lights still work? Usually nothing works if the altenator is dead.

check you're wires going from the battery on.. sounds like it might be a bad connection.. or you're starter is done..

It is the starter, the same thing happened to my frineds. changed the starter and it fixed it. Then the battery went so we changed everythign, starter, batter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, and CHECK THE BATTERY GROUND.

Last winter I had a nice battle with my battery cables. freezing weather, a foot of snow, had to get my dad's 2wd pickup uphill in the snow and ice to my jeep for a jump (forced more juice through the crappy battery cables) many late days to school. New starter, battery was a couple months old, alternator was a few months old. What else can contribute to the starter not getting enough juice? while everything else works? If you havent found the problem yet, check the voltage at the battery, then at the starter. If there is a significant drop, get yourself some new cables And I don't know excatly what your saying rckrdyxj, but the ignition system has nothing to do with slow cranking.
