Watch out the slip yoke in teh front DS tends to wear out and make tons of noise. A new DS and its all fixored.

fleetpride is located right past devon center on nagutuck ave in milford. i dont know if your familiar with the area but thats right off the post road about a mile before you go over the bridge into stratford. they carry spicer 5-760x u-joints which from what i've been told, will fit in place of the 5-297x u-joints and are a stronger upgrade. not a bad price for a stronger replacement. i don't know what size the u-joint on the driveshaft is though...... i know that they will work for the ones on the d30. whatever you need though, they carry it or can get it same day, so it eliminates the need to order and will save you a couple bucks.

I thought the same thing, When this happened to me i actually rebuilt the whole front end with new bearings, new u joints etc and it still made the noise. Drive shaft seemed tight too, changed out the shaft and the noise went away. Now my new jeep is starting to do it when really cold so i am gonna put my spare shaft in to see if ti helps. (got i love being able to swap front and rears).
