Do a good full tune up. Probably the best place you could spend your money on an old jeep when looking for a performance and gas mileage increase.

well thats why, my jeep hasn't had one since i've owned it and idk before me. i was gonna do the full tune-up and didnt kno if there was a better injector to use or to just buy new factory ones

Whats wrong with the injectors now? I had a leaking one and replaced it with mustang 19# injectors and the idle is so much smoother.

its been idling real uneasy lately and i kno in the past 40 k there hasn't been a tune-up so i figure might as well just do one.

Do a tune up and run some injector cleaner through it like Seafoam or Lucas injector cleaner. When I got my Jeep I put seafoam through it and it brought back 2mpg's

no reason to really, cept for better atomization, but on a stock 4.0 you wont see a difference. take them out and clean them with diesel.
