I've been debating doing this or getting a rubi 241. I looked into doing a 242AMG/WJ242HD as well. Ultimately, I'd want a 242AMG/WJ242HD hybrid to have 2,4pt, 4ft, and 4lo (242amgs dont have 2wd), and a Tera4Lo kit, but once all that adds up I can just bolt a rubi 241 on essentially.

I dont really care about the 4 lo option just because I suck..... but the WJ tcase looks like a direct swap with shortening of input shaft and a 32spline yoke... I have seen pics of the np242hd with and without the speedo hole which is weird... I dunno if my current 242 speedo housing will bolt right up, if so then I am done....

when my 242 goes I will burn my jeep where it sits. I happen to know someone that has a np242 that will work in your jeep so you dont have to burn it.

I thought it would be nice to have a full time case that would not break and still have 2wd as well. thats all and it is relatively cheap to do as well.... Dave this would be nice for a turbo jeep actually my current transfer case is perfectly fine, I just like the 242 and an HD version is that much better. Also I likely wont do this until my breaks or I have extra money to do it..... I like to work on shit like this....
