Okay, I've narrowed my decision down to two bikes after looking on CL. These are the two closest to me, in my price range, that I like.
The other bike, little bit further.
Just wondering what your opinions are concerning the miles/ years of both of them. Also the color. Color is important too.

Last year I put on 5000 miles on my bike so a bike with 10,000 is absolutely nothing. Usually those engines are good for 100,000 easily. You might need to do valves at 10,000; I'm not sure I'm not a V-twin guy. Go by the manual on that and remember, the valves get too tight with miles not too loose so you wont hear them chatter. I think those are reasonably priced, you can't touch a sport bike those years for that price unless there is something wrong with it usually.

Thanks for the input guys. I like the bottom one a little more even though they are relatively the same bike. I like the color more, but he doesn't seem to be responding to my emails.

to be honest 100% get a sportster for your price range.. if you want to test ride one of those then test ride mine, you'll want one, and you can get one in that price range...

I looked at 883's and couldn't find anything around here that really caught my eye. I'm mostly looking for something reliable that I can put a lot of miles on. There were a few sportsters listed around here but most were either from the 80's or 90's. There was one or two that were really in mint condition, but the sellers wanted 5,000+ for them and I can't swing that. The Honda might not be as badass, but they're a good bang for the buck.

The Honda will treat you right. I have an 82 CB750SC that runs great.
