Just wondering if anyone knows if poly bushings like the red aftermarket sway bar and end link bushings can take heat up to say 300* ish. if not, what can? IE energy suspension brand sold at auto zone for end links and such.

300* edit.
Yea the bushing they used in one spot has squished too much and its causing a rattle and if i can get sumtin to replace it it will be minty again. Technically i could just add a few washers to whats there now to recenter the exh tip in the hole but i would rather fix the problem than bandaid it.

What exactly are you planning to use it for? Then I can tell you if I think it would work. I would just relocate the hangar to compensate for the rubber sag.

my buddy had an F350 with just a cat and a glasspack after that. he had energy susp bushing on his rear sway bar, and the one on the pass side behind the exit of the muffler melted within a few weeks. and the muffler was prob about 3 feet from the bushing

The reason i ask is i think replacing with rubber bushings it will just happen again but i have 2 red Energy suspension poly bushings with cups (from an old front shock stud rebuild kit) i can use (only needs 1) and if they wont melt or squeeze as much as the rubber did then my problem is fixed, but i just dont want to do all this and have them melt on me or distort and have to do it all over again. Its too damn cold out for that shit.

You have to worry about them burning more then melting. will they melt? Just to a certain point, then the rubber will smolder and smoke and create a god awful stench.
Wow READING comprehension FTL.
I re-read everything and see this has nothing to do with rubber bushings.
The POLY bushings will take the heat better but they wil evenytually get soft and conform the whatever is holding it. They MIGHT smoke if they get too hot, thought 300* isn't exactly the melting point of it either.
I say run them and see what happens. Worst comes to worst they will melt a bit and conform and get soft. when they cool down, they just stay firm.
