Is NASCAR a sport? I voted NO. I look at it as entertainment... Sort of like WWE, except that is fixed of course. Convince me otherwise.   |

I want you to hop in a race car in the middle of summer... run 250 laps... loose 5 pounds of sweat, get the worst cramps of your life as u enter each turn, play the mental mind game with the 43 other cars plus the thousands of people that go into the sport, then get helped out of the car from exhaustion............ then come tell me its not a sport |

two things that makes nascar a borderline for me.
the fact that 95% of the races are circle track.
all the goddamn rules and politics and sponsors in bed with officials. nascar was way more awesome from the 50s to early 70s.

Changing your vote in my poll is allowed. didnt vote. how does that make it borederline for you??? its gets a tad boring sometimes. going 100+ laps on the super speedways where no one passes anyone, and no one crashes is boring. take the restrictor plates off and allow for the manufacturers to make motors. people wonder why no one likes american cars anymore... everyone loved mopars when the charger daytona and superbird did 220 MPH and literally ran circles around fords and chevys. without that big "426 C.I." OR "428 C.I." on the hood, its boring. all the cars are fucking exactly the same. |

Adam, Will all of the cars being exactly the same don't you think it becomes more of a sport because it has to do with the racers driving abilities versus the fact that they have better equipment? After all, the racers are the athletes in question here, not the motor manufacturers.
