I drive the brown '81 CJ-5 was red for a short time. Most of the picture on the site are from my jeep the XJ was mine it's my brother's now. I don't have any good pictures at work. I built the CJ-5 over last winter frame off, and I'm still fine tuning it.
Drive train: It has the 4cly GM Iron Duke engine with the Holley TBI kit bolted to a Chrysler 904 which they only put in jeeps for 3 years with a GM bolt pattern let me tell you how hard it is to find parts for it. Then it goes to a NP231 crawl box then a twin stick Dana 300. The Engine was moved forward about 8" to fit everything.
Axles: They are both HP Dana 60. both narrowed and the front pumpkin was swapped from a driver side to a passenger side matchs the CJ-style. And the rear pumpkin i moved to the middle then I locked out the steering in the rear. Rear has Ball joints front is King pins. 5.38 gears, and spools could afford ARBs.
Steering: High steer arms PSC ram assisted.
Brakes: was manual brakes so it has a longer brake lever, XJ booster i had laying around to a larger dodge master since the rear axle was a front axle it has large disk brakes. But it is still hard to hold the jeep stopped at 95:1
Suspension, Stretch 3" to still fit in the Stock Modified rules class to at RCrocs. SOA on YJ stock springs. Had Z-boxes and Revolvers all the way around Flexed like 1200 on 30°RTI ramp but there was too much movement in the axles in tight spots when I would steer the tie rod would actually push the jeep away from the axle instead of turning the wheels took them off I still ramp over a 1000 and my steering is 100 times better.
Tires: Cooper Discover STT 315/75R16 equivalent to 35x12 just installed Inner Air Locks.
I guess that is all the major stuff. Next on the list is just to move the CG down. Body drop, move fuel cell, batter etc. And a crap load of little things.
On the XJ: I raised the gas tank 6" which also raised the rear shocks at the same time. Rotated the T-case up and made a flat skid plate across the frame rails Made some bumpers as tight as possible to increase approach and deporch angle. Plated and notched out the lower control arms for more travel. When flexed the springs would unbucket 4". Never had it on a ramp. We ended up putting in 2" spacers for a little extra ground clearance, looks mean now. Welded the rear axle and the front is open stock everything. Tires Discover STT 30"x9.5" Other than that it is stock. Next is an integral rocker panel/ rock slider.
There was a bunch other jeeps it never ends.

Doing good thanks guys. I just got my Jeep back together last time I went out I pushed my front drive shaft back and it snape'd my NP231 crawl box. I took a little breather with the holidays but I just finished rebuild everything. I got a longer spined drive shaft. I had just cut down the stock drive shaft so I only had 3" of travel now i have 8" should fix the problem I also added a mount off the Dana 300 to the skid plate take a little load off the 231. Now I'm itching to go wheeling.
Dana how you doing we should meet up some time.
