fishing is in the same class as hunting i think. so more of a hobby Even though there are sponsorships and stuff with weight class competitions, it still falls under a form, a very well organized for of hunting and therefor isn't an Organized sport like baseball.

hey, for all intents and purposes, let's call bird watching a sport, so all the Nancy's can feel included, too.

hunting is as sport. as is fishing.
both have...tournament sort of. but neither are very competitive. especially fishing.
and fishing is hardly physically demanding.
but thems the things that outdoor sportsmen do.
in hunting you can DEF get hurt. and fishing its possible too. and both have tournaments at some point. or competitions. so...they meet my criteria.

they do meet the criteria, but fishing and hunting are not a game like baseball and football. it is a hobby that happens to have tournaments and everything. and some fishing an be very physically demanding like deep sea stuff

and fishing is hardly physically demanding. where we you when we were watching deadliest catch.. or how about this. I would like to see you reel in an 800lb marlin and tell me that you aren't tired or aren't on the bottom of the ocean fairly quickly.

how is golf not a game. Why is baseball and football, the traditional ball sports, used as the standard for being a sport. Golf is very much a game where you compete against many competitors.

I would like to see you reel in an 800lb marlin and tell me that you aren't tired or aren't on the bottom of the ocean fairly quickly. hardly. as in...most of the time its not. deadliest catch is not sport fishing. at all. but deep sea fishing is only physically demanding when you catch one. not before or after that. therefore, hardly. but sometimes.
