You arent going to see it on TV. Most of the golfers have too much class to fight on TV, and dont want to deal with the penalties and fines, and most of all the reputation they would receive throughout the golf world. Yeah, things can get heated on a golf course. Usually not from competition. Golf is sort of a game where you relax and just chill, you usually dont talk shit on golfers you are playing against. You congratulate them when they hit a nice shot, give each other tips and shit, and just play.
Fighting would usually occur from drunken idiots playing stupid, driving their balls into your group, stepping in your lines on the green, being loud, yelling and shit while you are taking your shot.
Ive been hit by someone before who thought they were okay to take their tee shot. I promptly turned around, gave them the finger, lined up, and fired their ball into the woods.

this is why I would consider it more like a hobby then a sport. then what to you is a sport. dont list individual "sports". What defines a sport. What makes a sport, a sport. Please give me your own description, not websters. |

i didnt say anything about shouting..i watched them tumble over it. were they pros or joes? joes pros dont fight for the reason mike said, its about class. if pros were to fight in golf on tv, theyd prob be done with golf forever, its just isnt accepted. since when was a sport determined by the likelihood of a fight? its highyl competitive, uses a range of muscles, techniques, method, so on, to defeat opponents in direct competition with u, using a ball and a set range of rules, regulations, and penalties, in a field of play. match style play. and a numeric scoring system...tennis is a sport, people dont brawl on tennis courts /thread |
