Its definitely a sport. golf is fuckin hard as hell to be good at. anyone can shoot a basketball but to hit a golf ball accurately at a hole at 400 yards is a whole different story. it is way to slow for me tho ok, let's see you outwit and out maneuver the defense, get into position, post a jumpshot and see if you make it in, while you still have other defense in your face trying to stuff the ball back in your face.. every sport has a degree of difficulty. I don't even like basketball whatsoever. I just think it is much easier for someone to pick up a basketball and go out and shoot around with your buddies and have fun than to go out and play golf and do the same.

i think its a sport. Requires skill, you follow set rules, compete against other players.
Ive been playing golf for about 6 years or so. Fights can happen at a golf course. Its very competitive, challenging, and rewarding sport. Another thing is, its something you can pretty much do your whole life. My dad put a club into my hands for the first time when I was 9. I could easily see myself being a 70 something year old playing golf still.
Other sports such as football, baseball, yeah you can start at an early age. Play in youth leagues, play in high school and even at the collegian level. A very few select play at the professional level. For those who stop after high school, yeah you might play a few pickup games messing around with your friends in the back yard or something, but most people dont continue playing competitively their whole lives like you can with golf.

anyone who denies athletic ability in golf is ignorant and has no concept of the sport and what it entails. just cuz u see some fat retard fucks golfing on the weekend downing beers doesnt mean thats what golf is theres also softball leagues with old fat guys...guess softball isnt a sport Hey now.. been playing softball all my life its def a sport! Takes as much talent and skill as golf.

I agree, golf doesnt put the strain on your body as a sport like football or lacrosse will do. thats why older people do it and find it realxing.
