It is real world because its in a simulated 2 bay garage and they have limited tools and a 110 welder. They are showing you how you can build a sick rig and not have to send it all out to a fab shop. I do not see how budget is relevant as plenty of guys drop a lot of money on rigs. Sure an all aluminum tub is nice and expensive but they are made and they are practical albeit expensive since rust is a non-issue. Sure a 14 bolt front end is out of the norm and expensive, tho dana posted a pic of a 44 with 60 outers a few months ago which seems useless to me but to others it works.
I appreciate the non conformity of this and many builds. And wow holy rant I guess.

I think steve did most of his work outside, he has had his body off his frame before, he has a custom 14b and dana60, he swapped in a mopar 360. Yup, no garage. Edit: AMC 360, not Mopar.
