If my JCR steering ever shows up, its going on a HP 30 that i have in my garage. I'd like to do the WJ knuckle swap to use the bigger brakes and its 10x easier since the axle isn't in anything. I think this is where Will ran into problems though.
Can i use the JCR steering with 1 ton ends on an OTK WJ swap? Wouldn't I be able to just ream out the knuckle to accept the one ton ends in OTK?
If I am simplifying things to much, please inform me.

kinda.
the tie rod in the JCR kit isnt long enough, and youll need a new TRE for the pass side. otherwise, yes you can use the rest of it. you can ream the knuckles DOWN for an OTK setup. stock WJ in UTK tie rod, OTK drag link.
really doesnt make sense to buy JCR then use it for the WJ setup, since the most expensive custom part (the tie rod) and most expensive parts store part (long pass side TRE) are useless.

sell your steering to some guy and have a new tie rod and drag link built.
if it was my rig i would want as much thread engagement as possible

I bought it before I got any ideas for WJ brakes and knuckles. So the best route would be to sell it, install the WJ knuckles then have a tie rod made to the proper length of my OTK set up?

mhm. you can use the WJ ends w/o a problem. going that route, JKS makes a nice setup. if you want to go OTK with stock ends, youll need to weld in tie rod flip inserts. otherwise, ream down for one-ton ends. be advised: if you want to run a swaybar youll need to run stock WJ drag link ends.

If I go OTK I'd still like to use one ton ends just for strength. I saw those flip inserts from goferit offroad but I don't see the point of doing all this work and using stock ends. Will I think I'm going to get the track bar bracket from TNT.
