The hack and tap is easier to install. The SYE looks to be more durable based on the the way the yoke engages a new shorter shaft. With the said I have never seen a hack and tap break.

Breaking Taps is probably one of the worst things that ever happens to me during a normal work day.. Especially if it is a fucking 3-56 or 5-44 tap.

When I break taps I usually try to shatter them with a punch and pull out the parts. What a pain in the ass.

Tons of people here run a hack n tap and to the best of my knowledge no one has ever had an issue with one. I did a full SYE because the price was right when I bought it. It works great

I got the advance adapters sye and I have no complaints, it was pretty easy to install and the new tailshaft is pretty beefy

i did a full sye
mainly because i could simply bolt a front driveshaft back there and rock it
and hack and tap for older cases is like a meeling dowlas

my first sye took seriously about an hour, my next took about 30 minutes.
don't let the webwheelers scare you, if you can turn a wrench and read instructions you can install a full hd sye.
