My girlfriends dad has a 99? XJ (bone stock, daily driver) that has saggy rear leafs. He is interested in swapping out the rear shocks for a set of air shocks so when he goes hunting, he can add air to them to help with the extra weight. Being that you guys are the XJ gurus, can you point me in the right direction for a set of air shocks? Thanks.

Once when I was in the junkyard there was a cherokee with shocks that had coil springs on them to help with heavy loads.... look into those.

a long long long time ago in a place not too far from here i looked into the airbag deelys to increase ride height. i remember nothing from my research other than i didn't end up getting them.
if it was me and i wanted a little more heavy duty load carrying capacity, i would run a pair of quadratec hd cherokee leaf springs.
the standard dutys with a 5 1/2" arch (stockrun $59.99 each
the meduim dutys with a 6 1/8" arch run $59.99 each
and the heavy dutys with a 7" arch run $69.99 each

I see you live in southington, at chuck and eddies they have a cherokee their with pretty mint air shocks, could prolly get em cheap if you pulled them yoself

I know he is not interested in swapping out the springs (even though I said I'd take care of it). I don't even see any companies that offer them for an XJ.
