Im gonna switch the locker I have to the axle thats under my jeep. I was wondering how to take the inner axle shaft out of a vac. dissco. axle? Do I ned to pull the inner shaft to pull the carrier?

your going to need to pull the inner shaft to be able to pull the carrier out. after u open the disco housing and pull the outer shaft i believe the inner shaft just slides out. i could be wrong tho.

No, you need to pull the cover off and take the c-clip off the axle.

Yup, C-Clip. I believe you have to pull the roll pin, cross-shaft, then the axle will be able to move in to remove the clip.

my hp dana 30 had no clips to speak of when i did the gears and lockers

I got it out. I didnt find a c clip so I took off the vacuum thing and slid the shaft out. Front locker is going in tonight  |

Got the locker installed! Worked awesome cant wait to take it on real trails.

there are no clips in that axle, took out the outer shafts when i broke a u-joint, and we had to duct-tape the housing to keep the inner shaft in
