Was out on a trail this week and got stuck. Put it into 4-Low and the dash indicator said Part Time. Shouldn't it be Full Time? My spotter told me that only one tire was spinning. I have a '00 TJ 2.5L 5sp. I don't have lockers but could there be something wrong? I am new to the 4wheeling community and do not know much. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

full time is like when your driving and its kinda slippery or maybe theres some left over snow. Basically it only engages when it senses tires are slipping. Part time is when its really slippery out and you want as much traction as you can get. As confusing as what I just said sounds basically it should be in part time when its either in 4h or 4l. You wouldnt want full time when offroading.

part time is just the system name. full time is just like AWD.
4hi/4lo are both a part-time 4x4 setting
1 wheel was spinning because u have an open differential.
1 tire per axle should be spinning.
