I am going to be running dual batterys soon and want to upgrade my alternator. I know of several options such as powermaster and mear green which both are viable options.
I have also have heard/read about zj alternators being much beefier ampwise and fit with very little coercing and grinding. What is the best option out there?
There is also the ebay alternator root.

any ZJ alt will fit with some finagling, and in theory, any 97+ (110A i think) should bolt in as well. the ZJ is 136, and is the same alt as the dakota/durango/caravan IIRC. i wouldnt get anything cept brand new imho- my alt was rebuilt at an electrics shop and they winded it from the stock 90 to closer to 100 and it was 80 bucks and i walked in and it was done. since you can wait (and i couldnt ) i fully recommend this place: storesense1.mysuperpageshosting.com/HS13162/StoreFront.bokthey have everything from 100-165A alts thatll bolt in trouble free.
