i was just wondering if i got adj. front lower control arms, what range of lift on my xj are they good for???

short arms?? if so 12" of lift would be appropriate

3-5..anything beyond that you really shouldnt be running short arms...without a drop bracket at least.

in all seriousness i dont see the point of adj. lowers, i would just get some beefy lowers (they are made a little longer i think) with polly bushings and get some adj, uppers with a flex joint. You only need the adj. to fix pinion angle. Thats the setup i had and it worked great
edit: the adj, on the lower would be for caster i believe, but the aftermarket fixed lowers come lengthened to take care of that.

adjustable lowers will get fawked easier on the trail.. thread and jam nut and such dragging over shit.
