wow. $200 the normal asking price of a posi-lock? thats what it costs for my truck too That sucks. I might try and find a used one or one that doesn't cost that much. As much as having a front disco axle sucks, actually having it has saved my ass already on two separate occasions, so I have to weigh the options. I'll probably end up going with both solid fronts in the end, and just carry spares as normal.

phil i agree. however how would that work pertaining to road manners? for you since its mainly a trail rig you may not ahve to worry about it, but since my Dodge is a maller would it effect it on the road doing a one piece shaft?

I have no idea. I've never driven on the road with a locker up front that was actually under load.

The first write up I have done before. Make sure you get a cable that can lock when pulled out. If I can find my old cable someone can have it (don't hold your breath). I feel my locker on the street when I take really sharp corners in a parking lot or something equivalent if I'm moving somewhat fast.
Caleb yes you do have to put a seal in. It sux cause you have to take the cover off, remove caps and pry the case out to put the seal in.

I think im going to do the posi cable to see how that is. I can always savemy shafts from the 95s d30 if I want to change it out. Thank you for the info Corey.

You usually had to be rolling to get it to pull out (engage) but other than that pretty good once I had the nice cable.
