wondering if you guys can give me some ideas.... awhile ago i swapped out my cv style front driveshaft for a ujoint style and its actually a double cardan on both ends.. here it is: i forget if i had the vibrations before i did the swap ( i know doesnt help much lol) but when im running at 50mph and tranny pops into overdrive i start getting a growling sound with vibrations coming from underneath my floorboard... when i shut overdrive off, and go 50-60 in 4th there no sound or vibes... today i took out the shaft and when i hit 50-60 in overdrive the sound was there but with no vibes... is it safe to say my driveshaft isnt balanced correctly? or is it just vibrating from the obnoxious sound coming from my transfer case or tranny..

sounds like just another jeep thing to me. low deep vibes are harmonic and would normally be a shaft, but shaft vibes increase exponentially with speed (ask me how i know). if its not that bad id just ignore it.

i have heard that it is typical. my buddys stock 04 grand cherokee does it too. i think its normal but it could be the DS out of balance
