I took the front drive shaft out of an 89 xj with a standard tranny to use as a spare for my 99 XJ with an auto, but the main shaft is 1 inch shorter...would it still be ok to use?? Or would i pull it apart?

put it in flex it and find out? im pretty sure the 5 speeds are ok for the front, they dont work in the rear tho if you do a hack and tap

i think i run a 5 speed shaft with my dana60 and it's pretty extended, highly doubt it will work with a 44/8.25 and I know for a fact it won't work dith a dana35

should be just fine, I have one out of a 5 speed as well up front with my auto and 3 incherrrs of lift, serves me well  |
