Ive considered a 8.8, i can get them cheap.. im not really worried about gears. when im ready to put a rear in everything is getting re geared anyway, i have 30 4.56s already

8.8 is a fine swap so long as you yoke it. even better if you can have someone weld all the bwaketz on for a case of burr.

steves axle is a wider one with different bolt pattern isnt it? and isnt it set up fro a clayton rear? or is that tj bolt in..? thought it was triangulated....i know front is tj bolt in.. That 44 was from a TJ. It is triangulated with the 5x5.5 full float conversion.
