They are Alluminum centers i believe. They are weaker but i think they make skids to strengthin it up. There is also not alot of aftermarket for lockers, im not sure about gears.

a d44 is a d44 is a d44.....any locker for ours will fit for that. its also still a 30 spline. the center section is indeed aluminum...is this out of a ZJ or a wj? zj 44s are c-clipped, and gay. the pinion shaft is pretty beef apparently.
also gear ratio is something u need to consider...prettyy much a guarantee it isnt 3.07s like u have
i wouldnt do it IMO. an xj 44 would make more sense even....tj being ideal (duh)

notsure, but it would be a few bucks, its steves old axle that has a warn full float cromo kit, detroit, and 4:56's been running it for about a year now, no issues but when my tires wear out i might want to go bigger

thats what his tag says on his diff, i thought it was odd too...but apparently an option on tjs thats weak. i only know all of this bc i talk to jay (lakailimited06) about the axle on occasion. worth it to him (bolt in, duh) not really for a TJ. although i THINK ZJ d44as are the same as TJs out back. dont quote me on it though. WJ rears are different, they use some ghey single triangle upper.

personally i would just get a ford 8.8 (that matches your gearing) and get a YOKE not a flange adapter and just re use your brackets or buy a bracket kit and be done with it
