it literally takes 20 mins for mine to start working ..... is this common? ive actually been waking up, starting my jeep, getting ready for school, having breakfast, then leaving.

You don't feel the 01 heat for about 15 minutes, but that is when it is on the bottom blowers. (is there a technical term for that? lol) At any rate... A lot of the time I don't bother putting it on unless im going far.
Also, Tech section?

sounds like a tech question to me, but no that is not normal i dont think it should take that long. mine takes 5 minutes

my engine is at OT after about 10 mins of driving, and thats in 25 degree weather running 15w-40. change your thermostat if its never been changed, and run a lower weight oil. im putting 5w-30 (or 5w-40 if i can find any...) in over turkey break.

My 99 never gets hot. The heater core is plugged which I need to order this week.
