LT1. would it be more simplistic to use a standalone/programable or an original wiring harness? and with a standalone will i easily be able to get the same emission control as with the original setup?

Use all the original harness and computer. The you can use LT1 edit easily to modify the stock ROM to allow for after market parts and changes in accesories.

scratch that, did a little more research, im looking for an L31/Vortec 5700. ill assume the same goes for that engine as well
edit: and they're probably easier to get a hold of as well
