ive got a bit of a problem....not that its a huge thing but it will be soon im sure of that. my jeep has a loose idler pulley which causes a bad squeal in the belt. for a while i couldnt figure out why until today. i tore the damn thing off...and i discovered the problem, the bolt pulled itself off (not sure if it was because someone overtightened it or the belt was too tight or what) and because the belt had tension on it, the pulley pulled itself up and stripped the aluminium inside the threads on the block...unfortunately the bolt is fine. and there was only about 2 thread widths worth of aluminimum on the tip of it. this isnt a major problem i know, and i apologize for a stupid thread like this one. i tried lock-tite and that only workd for a few days. and the squeal in the belt was back plus i can see the idler pulley not spinning true. so i dont know what else i can do. if anyone can give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated...thanks much.

another option is loc-tite threadmaker.
when i got my jeep the same piece was stripped
and i needed a fix to drive it home, red loc-tite slathered in that hole and it has held up for 2+ years and is still going in another jeep
