I'm thinking the next thing I want to do is herculine my interior. That way when its all pulled apart i can seal up the rear end where I cut through for my shocks. I know its pretty easy to just take the whole interior apart. But what about the time frame? Are we talking a weekend or longer? Does a gallon of the stuff work for the whole interior?'

im not a fan of herc'd interior
sure you can simply hose it out when its dirty.
but carpet keeps interior temps down, keeps dirt from flying in your eyes with the winders open, and keeps noise down.
i swear i could fry an egg on my floor in the summer when i had no carpet

I hurculined mine and didn't like it because it got way to hot. I put the carpet back in up front and left it out in the back. Im also debating on putting it back in the back.

i have a thick coat of herc on mine and then i covered it in home guido indoor/outdoor carpet. it does get hot in the summer but when its that hot out either the doors are off or the a/c is on and its not bad. i wouldnt have done it if my floors didnt giant holes in them and my carpet was covered in mold. replaced the floors, added herc.
btw one gal is fine.

If I tear everything out is that the end of it? I was planning on herculining it, then using a sound deadener for a quieter ride on my doors and around the front passenger area then in the back, then putting the carpet back insulation and carptet back down.
I don't want to do it if it means the end of my interior.

The carpet does have to match the drapes.

I was gonna do it with herc so i tried it by carefully removing the carpet and i hated it too. Waay to noisy and hot. I fixed any rust and i put in new jute (under carpet insulation) and reinstalled the carpet, This was on my 95. Now i have to remove my crappy old carpet and patch some rust holes and then POR15 the whole floor put in new carpet insulation and i got a used dark gray 01 carpet and cleaned and i am putting that in this weekend i hope. But i have no carpet in the cargo area and i plan to POR 15 that area and be done with it. I like to keep my interior clean and comfy since its a DD so thats why.
