First off, what sucks about the brakes? Im curious to know how much different the booster and master cylinder are on a ZJ than an XJ. I know an XJ brake booster has a different part number than a YJ booster, but you may be able to just upgrade the master. I installed a E350 master on my YJ and you may want to see if you can do the same. I know other Jeeps (TJ's for instance), have used old Grand Marquis or Corvette masters to help braking with large meats. TJ's however have a different booster that requires the Vette or Marquis and not the E350. Its something to take a look into at least.

The brakes have multiple problems both with the abs system and the weird braking system that is in my year jeep in general. I want to get rid of my current system and go with the dual diaphragm one off the 96 model or the WJ set up. I would be using the Master cylinder and booster in either case.

Yeah I searched naxja and did a bunch of research I've read mixed reviews between which is easier. Either the WJ or the 95-96 set up. I think it will all depend on what I can find at local junk yards.

hmph. idk my brakes suck. Don't get me wrong they're not perfect, I have a low pedal and you have to just about stand on them to get them to lock but it's doable.

i'll say that i feel a lot safer with the big D44 brakes out back. with the 33s and tiny drums on the 8.25 i had to really stand on the pedal a few times and hold my breath. getting the new bb/mc is high on my list but its not something i can just bolt in so sadly it must wait.
