If anyone has any driveline ideas

Heres the deal.
I have a stove in my garage. its entirely made up of back burners.

oh well.

but as money comes and goes, I pick up parts here and there, and things do move along, however slowly.

As I attempt to make some money to throw into the TJ this winter to get it ready to wheel for next year, I will be keeping myself busy by jumping around a bit.

Thanks to Stryker, if i can come up with a few bucks on the side, Ill be picking up a Dana 300 T-case from him in the coming weeks.
With any luck, this will be going into my CJ.

For this project, I will be reusing the 304 V8 that came with the CJ, as well as the T150 3-speed tranny that was mated to it. I am ditching the Dana20 T-case in favor of a ---/Dana 300 doubler.

this --- would preferably be an NP231.

The only problem with this is that I dont know how hard (or expensive) getting an NP231 mated to the T150 is going to be.

I tried searching Advace Adapter but found nothing useful.

so. would anyone happen to know any other doubler that is popular in 70's cj vehicles that was easier to bolt in?

Im willing to find another case to mate to the D300 if it would bolt to the T150 without issue.

Would the low range in the D20 I have be a worthy canidate?
I know they suck as a normal case but maybe just as a lowrange box?

Im not as worried as you may think about stress on the driveline, as Im planning this build with Mog 404 axles, which, thanks to their portal boxes. reduce stress on the entire driveline. Its still a concern, but not a big one.

So whats the sroty on the tj? are you still building the tj or stopping that and building the cj?

Why a 3 speed in the cj shouldnt you at least do a 4 speed?

Oh and i seriously want those axles that are in the tj or partially in the tj if you decide to sell them and i have $$ to buy them.

The TJ sits and waits for me to come up with cash to throw at it. The plan is to save up, take it down to the frame. restore the frame before it gets too far gone, complete rebuild with some new parts. I am also looking to lower it a bit. i was thinking about running 37"s with 3" of lift. Crazy, I know, but it may just be possible.

Until that ball starts rolling, ill try to get a little more organized and get a few things, such as the cj driveline, cleaned up.
Im keeping the T150 3-speed for a few reasons.
1) I already own it. and you really cant beat free.
2) I think it will hold up just fine, but if it doesnt, they are cheaper than a dime a dozen, because, well, im the only person in the off road world who actually wants to run one. also, they are almost light enough to consider keeping a spare in the rig and im not even kidding.
3) Its rare to see anything with a 3 speed now a days. I like that.
4) My boss has a CJ with this tranny that I use quite a bit. Its a lot of fun to drive because the shift pattern is somewhat goofy. Its an H with Rev. set in the top left where first should be, First gear where second normally is, 2nd where third, and 3rd in the bottom right.
Watching anyone else try to drive it would be fucking lo9ls all over the place. sure as hell took me a while to get used to at first.

I donno, I just would really like to keep this setup so i have some feeling of the original CJ that i picked up. thats the same reason why im keeping the 304 instead of a 360 on this project.

and as for my tj axles. I still plan on running them. the Speed-J is down, but not out. However, If i make the jump to 404s or rockwells, ill gladly sell them to you.
