So, Something is draining the battery in the 96. It will sit the idle for a day and be dead. Nothing is one, as for as accessories/lights go. I don't have the slightest idea if it really is the remote starter, but I don't need the thing anyways, so i'm trying to remove it. None of the wires look like they are connected to specifically the remote starter, they all look like the necessary wires for the normal starter. I don't know shit about these things. Help? with wiring in general?

there can be more than one thing doing it. ill check my FSM when im home for the pages on parasitic loss. there is always a constant, small load on the battery. something could be messed up other than the remote start.

remote starters are very common for parasitic draw. remove the negative battery cable wait about 5 minutes and hook up a meter reading amperage from the negative cable to the negative post. max amperage should be like 20-40 milliamp. if its more, start pulling one fuse at a time until the amperage drops significanty and that will tell you what circuit is drawing your load.
