1997 XJ 4.0/5speed 2" BB I acquired it for 1900 bucks back in March, it had 179,000 miles on it. Im calling in blue bomber, well because the jeep is blue and I plan on bombing through trails with it. Im still currently making payments on the personal loan I used to buy the jeep ( and other stuff ). The payments are 280 a month, and my last payment is in April 08. Once its completely paid off, Ill be buying an assload of parts. Should be getting about 1k back for taxes so that will go towards most likely TNT long arms. Until then, im going to be spending whatever I can on it without breaking the bank. Plans: RE 4.5 " lift and 1" shackle out back, 1" spacer up front. Waggy 44 front, some sort of selectable locker / J-10 44 Rear w/ detroit ( Sams old axle ). 4.56's . Get some beefed up shafts for the waggy. 1 ton steering. Going to run one inch wheel spacers up front. Waggy WMS is 60.5, J10 44 is 63, so with one inch spacers up front, the rear will only be .25 wider on each side, hardly noticeable. The waggy 44 is about 100 bucks at the local pick n pull, but if I just take the housing, it will be 60 bucks. Im gonna wait out alittle bit longer before I go get it because they run half off weekends every couple months, so Ill get it for wicked cheap. Gonna buy the tnt truss kit for it and be good to go, have a buddy of mine weld it up. Gonna ditch the stock bumpers for some custom ones. Already purchased some rock sliders from Drew ( the ones dave made). Found some Rear quater armor with built in led tail lights that I plan on purchasing. Dont know what else Im gonna do, but ill post progress and pics in this thread. Ive already done the doorless mod, and pulled the nasty carpet. Going to be hecrulining this bitch. 35x12.50 MTZ's mounted on 15x8 Cragar soft 8s Waggy 44

ah fuck, typo. Im still making payments on it. I could have easily paid it off by now, but I am trying to build my credit up and I need to have 1 year of payment history. Glad to not have the teal mobile, thing has so many problems.

I have days where I want to commit insurance fraud and start over lol right now I'm at school but when I left I parked my jeep under the most rotted/dead tree in my yard Then my dad told me It has barely any insurance on it and wouldn't get covered...

Couple of minor updates.
My interior was ratty and nasty as fuck. Somehow the carpet smelt like wet dog, seats were staind, trim peices were broken and headliner was nasty.
I found a guy parting out an 00 XJ on craigslist, went and checked it out and his interior was MINT. Shit was wicked nice, everything seems like brand new, no wear and tear on anything. Got the every single piece of the interior for 200 bucks since I pulled it myself. Its the dark gray stuff and will look a lot nicer in my jeep, gonna steam clean the carpet and make it look all nice.
Right now im still doing Research for the build. Still unsure of some of the things I will be doing with it, and what parts im gonna run. Ive been price shopping too, I found by buying parts from vendors on pirate4x4, you could find mad nice deals.
Trying to figure out a cheap solution for beadlocks. Probably gonna go with 4.5" lift like everyone recommended. TNT Rock runner front bumper, unsure what I want in the rear yet. Kilby gas skid, tnt belly plate and Y link, 4.5", 35 mtz, 44 f/r, detroit f/r, 5.13's. Not sure what else yet.
I also just switched car insurance to Allstate and am saving 1200 dollars a year, and Im done paying on my loan in March, so ill have an extra 400 dollars a month to play with.
