Hokay so my passenger side brake light and turn signal are not functioning. My running light works tho. Anyone have any idea why? It just happened randomly 94 xj sport 4.0 aw4 np231

Check to see how badly corroded they are.

hrm. it seems like its getting no power. im tracing it back on a diagram but its wicked confusing. how are you on wiring diagrams dave?

Did you check power from the connector to a chassis ground with a good contact where you scraped away paint? If you are just checking power at the connector and the ground is bad you won't actually read voltage.

The brake signal is parallel from the Driver side. The Turn signal is independent. They are listed as seperate ground on the diagram but may share. I would trace back the grounds. Take your meter on ohms and touch the ground pin on the socket and then ground the other lead to the body. You should read little to no resistance.
