Yup, that is the one most of us run. I haven't heard of a single person that had an issue with it.

from what ive gathered by the time you have the front cut and balanced then rebuild it your almost at the price of what a tom woods or similar would cost. sure you could cut it yourself if you are very confident in your fitting skills but if your slightly off you'll never get it balanced. if this is a trail only ive made square driveshafts out of hitch stock before. super cheap and super strong but vibrate like hell at speed. several of my sploder freinds run em in the front on road with the hubs locked out.

You gathered wrong. You can use a stock XJ auto front shaft with no modification. It bolts right in.

as long as the donor xj is an auto and the xj its going in is auto and has a 8.25 or 44 it will bolt in with as little as no lift and as much as 5" (maybe more, but im just going by experience)

PORC is the way to go. had the seal leak a little around the tailshaft but it healed itself cuz my jeep is just that real. plus the more oil leaking means the less rust

im havin a little trouble with mine. i think the plastic speedo gear is slipping on the shaft. my speedo needle is jumping around and sometimes it wont move at all. can i take the end housing off and try to tack it down with rtv or something? has anyone had this happen?

the speedo gear collar is splined onto the shaft, we need to check the 13 mm to make sure its tight and make sure everything looks good.
