I'm not paying $400 to drill a hole in the side of my truck. I can get a "newer" engine for close to that IF anything does happen. Its all in the driver.  |

being a good driver doesnt stop water from entering your air intake in deep water
1 snorkel > pain in the ass of swapping engines each time
or just avoid water and wheel rocks ;D
snorkel aint 400 bucks either...see: airflow snorkel

$400 for a POS ARB snorkel that actually reduces air flow and does not hide up as nice and neatly as this one that has much better air flow and costs a fraction of an ARB. trust me I had an ARB on my old xj and hated it. Now i am considering asking for one for my birthday. www.dpgoffroad.com/airflowsnorkels.htmUsed to be able to get them for under $200 when dpg first started to carry them but the price went up since then to $279. Still a better price and a much better unit than an ARB. |
