ok so somewhat of an actual update.
my neighbor is going to be doing all the welding next week. durango steering box and c-rok steering plate should be here monday i think. after everything is installed i'll tackle the death wobble issue and make sure it drives alright then i'll be ready to go wellin.
next step will be to gear, lock and swap in the 44 and disks. then i'll be done for awhile (thats what they all say ;D )

That swap is suck a piece of cake, I also did the c rock brace, be sure to paint it first. You will need 2 kinda thick washers per bolt in between the brace and steering box. The stock bolts should be plenty long enough unless you have after market thicker frame tie ins for your front bumper.

Was it difficult to flip the pins?

it wasn't bad really. i used will's write up about putting the pin in a vice with the one end in a socket so it pushes out into the socket. though my vice broke in half when i did this hammering them back in was kind of a pain but was all finished within an hour

installed durango box/c-rok plate today. can't get the old pitman arm off the old box so i bought a new one. went to put the new one on and realized.... my old arm is reamed for won ton. new one is not. FAIL...
edit for today - old pitman arm is on, pump is done, tightened the shit out of all my steering and components, went down the road, got death wobble. story of my life
