Hey, I'm new to this site and pretty new to off-roading in general. My name is Shane, I found out about this site from JeepForum. Got myself a jeep after my last deployment, and have been looking to go out with it, and learn all I can about it..... This means I would gladly give up some of my free time to help somebody with an install, or some mod work in exchange for some beer, pizza, and an opportunity to learn more....
I am currently an 88M in the Army reserves, and a full time dad trying to get a career as a city/town police officer. I live right in between Torrington and Thomaston CT, and am beginning prep work to go back overseas.

I caught the bug in my short lived '95 2.5L YJ , did some 'improv' mountain climbing with it, and was forced to sell. Now I'm running a 2000 TJ SE 2.5L 5spd with a 2"BB, SkyJacker Hydros, and 31" BFG ATs. I'm hoping to learn the "right" way to wheel, and what mods I should do next. Here is a pic of my low-output 4-banger before I painted the fender flares (they are now black 8-)WOOT-WOOT)

Waterford and New London are hiring police officers last I knew. New London is always hiring. I have heard that, but New london is a bit of a haul from where I'm at..... I'm looking more local (Winsted, New Hartford, Torrington, Waterbury, Watertown, Thomaston, Naugatuck, Bristol, Plainville ... Around that area, I'm sure I left some out, but you should get a basic understanding of what I mean), thank you though, any help is appreciated.

hey shane welcome to the site you in motor T? In marine jargon, yes. To anyone else I'm essentially a truck driver.... Fun... I do plan on resigning as an MP when this contract is up. Thanks for the warm welcome.

hi shane!!!! welcome i think this is our first army rep, right? were over run with marines and air force members I did notice a few marines here *nervous chuckle*, It's all good though ..... Is there anyone in my area? When is the next meet-n'-greet? where? I hope to become a "member" before the RC care package run so I can participate. What kind of initiation hazing do I have to go through? Just a few questions I was wondering about.
