Did you really use that idea? What you should have done was use a flywheel tool to hold it in place. Using the engine as an impact gun cannot be a good idea.

yeah flywheel tool, i think i have a couple of those in my shed. alex helped me out a lot, but now the freaking pulley installer is being stupid and i tighten the big nut to tighten the press on the pulley and the tool magically loosens which makes 0 sense bc im tightening everything and eventually the tools just falls out

more bullshit, what else is new. i seriously cannot believe all the shit that has happened in the past month. issue after issue after issue. this goddamn balancer is 100% completely unrelated to anything i touched. now the fucking bottom half of the installer is stuck inside the crank, and the threads inside the crank are probably stripped.

hokay so well this iz vat i am doing now: notice the misalignment. notice the little contraption in my fancy circle. that long bolt threads into that little contraption which threads into the crankshaft. that little sucker is indeed, stuck, in the crank. so i loaded some loctite on the long bolt and threaded it into the other bolt thing and now am letting it dry. since it sits lower than the pulley itself its basically impossible to remove any other way.

Q: How fast will a silicone cure? A: Loctite silicone sealers cure upon contact with moisture in the air. The cure progresses inward from the surface. Bead sections up to 4 mm thickness become a rubbery solid in about 24 hours. guess im waiting til tomorrow again
