No and No.
Waste of ammo for one and another waste of money.
Second is .50 BMG or bust.

"Machine Guns Machine Guns are strictly regulated by the U.S. Department of Treasury, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) as well as the Connecticut State Police, Special Licensing and Firearms Unit (SLFU). Connecticut residents may purchase Machine Guns if they are capable of a “full automatic only” rate of fire. Any select fire weapon is considered an “Assault Weapon” and is prohibited by State Law. Dealers who are licensed to sell “machine Guns” have all the necessary Federal paperwork required for that transaction. Any Connecticut resident who owns a “Machine Gun” is required to complete form DPS-418-C, registering that “Machine Gun” with the SLFU immediately upon receiving it and upon an annual basis thereafter. Form DPS-418-C is not available on-line, they are available from Federal Firearm License holders. Registered owners will be notified yearly with a registration form-letter which must be signed and returned to the SLFU." Now tell CT isn't messed up a bit in it's gun laws. You can have a fully auto gun as long as you can't turn off the full auto! Pulled off the CT DPS site www.ct.gov/dps/cwp/view.asp?a=2158&Q=294488&dpsNav=|

Update: TweakingCut down the Barrel, what used to be a 20" barrel is now a 16.75" Barrel. For Laughs. Chucked the barrel up in a lathe and cut my own Recessed Target Crown. Trigger Job Time. Removed the firing control housing and removed the Hammer. Placed a drop of solder right behind the main sear to remove engagement. The drop is no bigger then an 1/8 of an inch and must be filed down smaller to get a perfect break. Remove too much and you get creep and a heavy trigger, don't take too much and the gun doesn't work. It is a process of trial and error, time and patience. When I finally got the trigger down to about a 3lb pull with a small bit of takeup, I installed a set trigger in the rear of the trigger guard to remove all excess trigger pull beyond the point of break. The set screw is a size 4x40, which is smaller then a tenth of an inch in diameter. It is the screw seen underneith the Trigger return spring and plunger. No big cosmetic changes this time around, just a shorter barrel but at least the trigger is light and crisp.

What does the shorter barrel do for it? Depending on the rifle, it has its advantages and disadvantages. In this case is is simply cosmetic. I plan to shoot alot of subsonic ammo, stuff that doesn't even go more then 720 FPS, so I am not worried about any velocity loss with barrel size, if anything, the less velocity I get the better - as long as it stays over 680.

I want to redo me trigger on mine it gets kinda annoying. I did a trigger job on it without even firing a shot. mine weighted a good 5 1/2 lbs with a good load of creep and I just had to get rid of that shit asap.
