offering cheap tube bender rentals! j/k, let me know what night you need to come over yea sounds good, ill probably be over later in the week, once i get the engine back in i have to make up a transmission crossmember, it shouldnt be too complicated. Once it drives, I might have it there for like a week to make the cage.

Update: I plasmaed the old motor mounts off off of the frame tonight as you may or may not be able to see in this pic heres the new engine mounts engine bracket: Frame Bracket what it will kinda look like, just imagine a rubber bushing in between the two pieces:

havent done much but got the engine in with the new mounts and its pretty nice passenger side driver side shorter rear shackle also got a brake booster and master cylinder, pedal assembly, and clutch master and slave from a 96 cherokee today everything looks like it will work good, going to ditch my 700r4 and put a 4 speed in it. 17 inch rear driveshaft just doesnt seem right to me

i prefer wheeling with a manual... if you got the right gearing.

Automatic, standard, doesn't matter, it is personal preferance. If you can shift on rock faces and in rock gardens then all the power to you. It is my personal preferance to get an automatic with properly geared axles because I am not the kinda of guy who likes to hear the rev limiter all day long.

ive wheeled with both. many years with an auto, and the little time ive wheeled with standard i seem to like it better. looking at going with a ford NP435 with a EB dana 20. The 435 has something like a 6.5 1st gear and the ED dana 20 has about 2.4:1 crawl ratio with an availible 3.15:1 gear kit, so i could have like a 120:1 crawl ratio. not that i care too much about numbers. or an sm420 with a flipped dana 300. Well see. Got a chevy bellhousing today.

not much else to say. cant do much else until the tranny and xcase get here, as all of the body prep is base on mkaing it fit over the tranny. Probably going to take it easy for the next week. Maybe, pull out my manual shift 700r4 and SYE'ed NP231 and think about putting them up for sale and start shopping for clutch parts.
