i run 12" of lift with no sye and it drives fine

we only joke about the 8" coils and acos. lifts that big are useless for any kind of practical purpose (mud bogging excluded) gotcha

the old slip yoke can go like 6-7" of actual lift without needing an sye which among other things makes early xj's the best jeep ever made

sye's should be mandatory on any wheeled jeep.
even if i ran 6-7" of lift i would never run without an sye. really crappy u-joint angles= easier to break. and if you ever get any air time your yokes will bind up and make really bad noises or explode to smithereens. and when it explodes to smithereens your left with a gaping hole so no limping back to camp in 2wd unless you like the thought of burning up your t-case.

i cought air time with no sye and needless to say i will never do it again. the noise is horrible

do u have a pic of this crease? I am not outside right now to go measure but am curious I just measured inthe front it was like 26.5 and rear was like 27.5 so I dunno bout that stock measurement being 22 are u measuring to the top of the crease or bottom
