Project Weekend Warrior

Everyone else is posting up their projects so I figured id post up mine.

My intentions were to have a DD XJ, that was extremely capable on the trail on the weekends, and still be a functional Daily Driver for me on the week. I need to build it right so it isnt breaking on me since its my only means of transportation.

What I started with

94 Base Model XJ
4.0/AX-15
30/8.25 3.07 gearing
~60 k miles
1500 bucks. Hardly any rust, no rot at all.

As of 5/20/07

RE 3.5 inch lift ( 4" Actual ) , 31's
Gas Tank Skid
Tcase skid

HAVE:
33x12.50 Baja Claws
NEED: Black Steelies 4"
or less backspacing.

Getting Roof rack and aux lighting very soon from adam.

Going doorless and trimming fenders soon with will and phil


Plans
5" of lift total
35 inch tires
XJ 44 . Detroit.
4.88's front/rear
Armor
Rock bumpers
Probably will need SYE and ill run a front ds in the rear with some modification since i have the 5 speed. .
Some sort of sound system, also need new headliner.

Let me know any changes i should make. Comments/Suggestions

All the money i make goes right into this jeep. No saving for college or anything like that since I joined the airforce.

once you get 35's and 5" of lift youll want 37's and 6.5" of lift

I want a million dollars, but it isn't going to happen.

I am going to lower the rear another 1.5" give or take and make some quarter panel armor coming off the rear bumper.

i ran a rustys 3" (sat at 4") for quite some time with 31" kumho road veture mud terrains within a few months i needed to go bigger and here i am!

i wanna lower mine 2" and cut away most of my body, grab some 5 ton axles and run the new 54" bogger. ultimate low cog

i feel like i wanna sit at almost 4" with 33s and then lock and get axles and gears and armor and shit but i know i will wanna go higher and bigger eventually.
