I used a ball joint press to get the factory pins out in my XJ. Im not sure if TJ's are knurled and pressed like mine but heat will also get them out easily.

funny thing is that probably works better then most of the 'quick disconnects' that are sold for 80-90 bucks. Especially the RE's.
