I think if BFG decided to add some better side protection theyd get more hits

if anything the BFGs tread is Fawking good. not everything has to be compared to a bogger/LTB. its the sidewall thickness that everyone gripes about (rightfully) with that said, im goin coopers

"if anything the BFGs tread is Fawking good. not everything has to be compared to a bogger/LTB. its the sidewall thickness that everyone gripes about (rightfully) with that said, im goin coopers" Quoted for words of wisdom. I cannot wait to get my coopers as soon as the cash flow builds up. and here is a side wall shot.

Those new BFG's look like an MTR tread almost. I agree that the sidwalls are thin though. However, BFG's wear really well and have very good traction. If I was considering a radial for street with some trail, the new BFG might get my vote.

Dont get me wrong i think its a great tire. By far one of the most popular. They do resemble Mtrs For obvious reasons. Prolly way better in the mud too. The coopers Also resemble the mtrs Oh and so do those toyos. But again im sure they all do better in the mud.
I would put those bfgs on my future cummins for sure.

i loved my bfgs they did great on the trails and drove better on the road . but yea the side walls are def weaker than most comparable tires . i went through 3 . if they got a new side wall i would think of getting another set , if i wasnt about to b trailoring my jeep
